My name is Rebecca Shipley and I am so glad that you found my site. I look forward to talking to you and teaching you or your child. 

I retired in 2022 after a very fulfilling career of teaching music in a public school. During my tenure as a public school music teacher, I taught private students on the piano, voice, clarinet, recorder, and guitar. 

My education includes a B.S. in Music Education from Northwest Missouri State University and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from National-Louis University. 

I am an educator with great experience in all levels of students. I have taught both special needs and gifted students. This has helped me be able to adapt my teaching style to help all learners achieve. I will bring this expertise into your private lessons. 

I reside in the Lemay area in St. Louis County and live a short distance from I-55 which makes it easy to get to me for lessons. I do not do house calls for lessons.
